Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Management Course Registration

The Kiwanis Club of Weston has underwritten, and, with the additional support of Norwalk Hospital and Southwest Connecticut EMS Council, invites all emergency medical personnel to participate in a continuing education program at Norwalk Hospital on pediatric trauma management presented by The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI), a partnership of New England Kiwanis and The Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.

Course Outline
The four-hour program presents basic and advanced concepts of trauma management including, epidemiology, diagnosis, airway management, resuscitation techniques, system considerations, and case studies.

Instructor: The course is taught by Adam Silva, B.S., a nationally registered paramedic and instructor of pediatric advanced life support (PALS), with nearly 20 years of EMS experience. 

Course Credits
The Connecticut Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services has approved four (4) EMS Instructor Continuing Education credits for this course.  Massachusetts has approved four EMT, Advanced, or Paramedic credits. The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians accepts continuing education that has received official approval through state EMS offices.
